Blogs

A blog is a website containing entries (called “posts”) which appear in reverse chronological order, with the most recent post at the top of the page. Following any post, readers may leave a “comment” which could expand on the ideas in the post or respond to questions raised. Traditional websites require a bit of tech know-how, but blogs are easy to create and can be maintained by almost anyone, making them a great choice for classroom and educational use. Following are examples of how blogs can be used to share updates and announcements or to provide assignments and classroom support.

Examples

Superintendent’s Blog - district superintendent communicates with parents and community members
News from the Principal - elementary principal updates families
Mr. Wozniak’s Classroom Blog - elementary teacher posts assignements and updates for students and parents
